Shockwave In The Desert 2015

Shockwave In The Desert 2015

In just two short weeks I will be attending the 2nd annual Shockwave in the Desert event in Phoenix, Arizona. It was a great honor to be invited as a special guest by the hosts there, so I will be bringing a bunch of things for them to raffle off for charity, giveaways for attendees and more. I’m also planning on bringing out my DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus drone to get some awesome footage of the event and you can expect an equally awesome after video.

From their website:

What started out as a gathering of a handful of friends that met over social media to get together for a day of shooting and brotherhood has blossomed into one of the largest and most well-known social media events in the shooting community. Photos and video from the events are widespread across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, and there have been reports that clips have appeared in both print and television media as well. Today, you will be hard pressed to find a shooting enthusiast that has not seen or heard of photos and video of the event.

Somewhere in the amazing transformation from just a dozen individuals to the more than 400 people who attended the inaugural event it was decided that we would use the gathering interest to better the community as well as provide awareness and generate revenue for a charitable cause, and being close friends with the founders of the Wishes for Warriors organization, we melded the two together to turn Shockwave in the Desert into a benefit event. As a result, Shockwave in the Desert and Wishes for Warriors are now synonymous with each other, and we are proud to continue to support this fantastic organization that helps returning wounded veterans maintain a positive outlook on their civilian lives.

We are very proud of the success that Shockwave in the Desert has become, and we look forward to you joining us for a safe and fun day of enjoying the shooting sports with old friends and new friends alike.

The event is on March 14th from 10AM until Nightfall. I’m looking forward to seeing many of my industry friends and colleagues as well as meeting some great new ones or ones that I have only met on social media. This event is for a great cause and I really hope that it takes off for them. Tickets to the event are only $10 so I encourage anyone who can make the event to try and get out there!
